Working On My 2023 Temperature Quilt from Quilt Vine

 


This past week I have been diligently working on my 2023 Temperature Quilt. I absolutely love the way it is coming together. I love the fabric and I love the triangle. This is my favorite Temperature Quilt I have done so far.

It all began with the design. Of course, each year I look at a ton of Temperature Quilts online. Then the tuff decision of what to do with mine. I loved the circle and did that two years in a row.

Big Ones, in Process from Quilting Studio Adventures

This week many of my Chicago Modern Quilt Guild are in Phoenix at QuiltCon.  Last year's event was virtual.  Two years ago, right before the pandemic, I shattered my wrist and missed out on the event.  While I'm sad to not be there, I'm thankful for Quilty buddies who do the best job of photographing the quilts.  There is a guild meeting tomorrow for those of us not in Phoenix, and that will have to do.  This quilt, Downstream by Yvonne Fuchs, hung at QuiltCon 2020.  I bought the pattern and have shamelessly made it in ...

gathering inspiration ~ the Whitworth from Charm About You

A few weeks ago I visited the Whitworth Art Gallery in my home city of Manchester. I was so inspired by the exhibitions that I was going to write a post, life kind of took over and it's been sitting in my drafts.
